Radio

There is no classification system for Radio content. Radio broadcasters take into account audience listening and time of day. There are codes to consider if lots of children are listening before school. There are fewer restrictions for programmes targeting adults during school hours or late at night. Complaints about content may be made under the radio codes of practice.

Advertising is not classified either.

Advertising content and the time of placement is self-regulated by the media industry.

You may complain to the Advertising Standards Authority about an advertisement under the industry Advertising Code of Practice.
